On 9th May the Ascension Day, a small group of Valk Riders met to an Ride Out to the Village of Rheinsberg. On the way were four Valkyries. Unfortunately it did not start until around 11:00 am, since the supervisor did not come in the mood. (All was his fault)
At the start thereby were:

It went out of the city over the B96 northward.

That was not really a good idea. Hundreds of drivers had probably similar ambitions. Matthias required thereupon the re-establishment of auto-free Sundays and holidays.

Where the oncoming traffic and the law allowed, we passed the line (of cars) on the left side.  It must be really special to sit in the 79°F (heat) and drive out of the city in slow motion.

Slowly it became more comfortable.  The traffic gradually becomes less.

joined our small group. Now finally we had a Tour Guide who also leave no doubt over the history Rheinsberg.

In 1734 the Prussian King Friedrich William I bought the Castle Rheinsberg for his son Crown Prince Friedrich. Further information is available HERE

After Peter had invited us to for a special type of ice cream – crazy things like chili or garlic ice cream – we went on a small excursion of the lakes.

At the village of Zechlinerhütte, the Steigenberger Hotelgroup had setup a marina worth seeing. It is starting point for many spare-time captains who make trips to the surrounding lakes.
 

In the Village of Kleinzerlang we quenched our thirs;

according to the season we ate Maischolle (a local Fish).

After the well-deserved rest, it was back on the road.

The Stechlinsee was the next destination.

We visited the  local scuba dive school , since the author and Janina wanted to view the facilities and inquire with the divers about the visibility under water.

Soon it was time to make our way back home.

At the Village of Gransee our ways separated. Our travel chief – who we want to thank once again for the terrific afternoon, drove in the direction of Eberswalde and we returned to Berlin or to the southern outskirts of the city.

By the way, on this route it was decided that we want to undertake such routes often in the future. The next destination is already selected.
