WOW what a great day. It started off a little cool and windy and it ended a bit windy as well. In between it was wonderful. 12 bikes and 1 car with Biglou and Bigmac2 following behind. Kickstands up at 9:00am from the Wheel Inn in Cabazon. 10 bikes started out and we met 2 more in Mecca. Michael k and Big Tom from Arizona rode west to join us for the day. Our first stop was at Salvation Rock at Slab City. Ed got himself stuck in some soft sand and had to be helped out. We did make him stay there so we could take some pictures.  After about an hour we were getting hungry and decided to find some place to have lunch. There wasn't much around that area so we ended up in Brawley and found a nice place with good food. I think they were glad to see us with such a big group and they took good care of us. We had a 50/50 and Strawbobrob was the big winner. Rob donated the winnings back to the club which was really nice of him. From there we headed to Jimmy's house to meet his son Jimmy Jr.. There must have been some miscommunication because he wasn't there. So after a brief break it was time to head home. The 10 fwy in the pass was very windy and we had to be on our toes.

Thanks to Joe, Mike, Elmer, Rick, Don, Ed, Pat, Brian, Michael K, Big Tom, Rob, Lou, Rich and John for making it a great day. We did talk for a bit to reflect on our members that we have lost over the years. God bless all of them and all of you for the day and ride safe every day.
