Maui Page 4 2004

This was just 20 yards off our beach one morning.
About 2am, our intrepid Captain, after having thrown his anchor overboard without first attaching the anchor chain, decided he'd approach shore in unfamiliar waters (within sight of the perfectly good port of Lahina) and call for assistance. He discovered, much to his dismay, that he was far closer than he had anticipated. He was able to walk to dry land and deliver his application for the Darwin Awards in person.
