Going through the Miraflores locks. The cargo ship cleared with 2 ft on each side.

Still going through the locks. There are two sets at the Pacific side.

Out on to Gatun Lake for 40 miles. Sharing the view with large ships and luxury yachts.

The channel from the second locks into Gatun Lake and the Independence Bridge.

Going through the Gatun Locks into the Atlantic.

We shared our trip through the Gatun Locks with a luxury yacht from the Cayman Islands, but not his buddy with the helicopter on board.

It takes a long time to get through the locks and a whole day to get through the Canal.

We liked Cartagena, Colombia. We went on the non-FARC tour. This is one of the forts that protected the bay and the city and a monastery.

The first two shots are of the poorer side of Cartagena and the others of the wealthier side, which looks like Miami.

That ship was bigger than we were, but the tug was smaller.
