Las Vegas to Hoover Dam to Kingman

Franz had promised the ladies from Vienna a shopping opportunity and, true to his word, went out early in the morning and found an outlet mall. There was even a Dunkin' Donuts close by, so we introduced Clemens to another American food idea...donuts for breakfast. Everyone had two hours to shop or sit or walk around before we met at the bikes and headed out for Hoover Dam and the new Callaghan-Tillman Bridge. We made a brief stop at the Dam to take pictures and look up at the new bridge and then headed on to Kingman on 93. It's a nice straight shot, but has one major drawback...no gas stations. After another close call, we swore never to leave in the morning without a full gas tank. We came into Kingman and hit the first gas station, then left the majority of the group there as we went in search of the perfect motel. To our amazement, there was another Motel 6 a block away and it had a diner-type restaurant in the parking lot for both dinner and breakfast. Franz had planned on going to Oatman that day, but it was already late and hot. So instead we opted for the pool while the Harley fans went off to shop at the local dealer, which is actually quite a large one. They were successful at finding parts and accessories at a significantly reduced price, even including shipping costs to Vienna, so had a great shopping experience. Clemens acquired a new nickname; in addition to "luggage boy" he also became "laundry boy" as he even helped Manu with hers.
