This ride take you through the Gorge all the way into the desert, back into the
Cascade Mountains across the Deschuttes River and back to Portland.
Follow I-84 East through the Columbia River Gorge to Biggs, exit 104 at highway 97.
Follow highway 97 South to Grass Valley where it meets highway 216 West. Follow highway
216 West to Tygh Valley. In "downtown" Tygh Valley, at the Texaco station, pick up Wamic
Market Road to Forest Road 48 West. Follow Forest Road 48 to highway 35. At highway 35,
turn left to go back to Portland via highway 26 a few miles down the road. Turn right
to go to Hood River on highway 35 back to I-84 and back to Portland.
