Mark Brinkley from San Marcos gets us Prairie View on his 1998 Tourer

Prairie View Texas Article of Incorporation 1969 Population 4600 Located in Waller County

Prairie View’s history is deeply co-mingled with the PVA&M that is hailed to be the 2nd oldest public institution of higher learning in the State. The original name of the school was Alta Vista Agricultural and Mechanical Collage for Black Youth. It was founded on August 14, 1876. The Alta Vista Plantation was purchased by the first Board of Directors as the school site. The current enrollment is 8,000 students. The City of Prairie View got its beginning because of the school.

Okay guys and gals, submit your pictures and information. Get a picture of your Valkyrie in front of something with the city's name. Be creative! Be fun! Include a short bio and or city information, Valkyrie info/year/name and other stuff...
